MX Player for Android

I installed some videos onto our Android tablet to check out its video playing capabilites and test some players as well.

Needless to say, I went straight to my favourite, the VLC Media Player.  Unfortunately, it did not work as I expected it to be.  The configuration (yes, there is configuration required!) is as bit baffling, and I could not get it to work.

My second choice, RealPlayer, does not support some of my video formats.

And then I came across MX Player.  It's got good review all round so I gave it a shot.  It works really well.  HD videos are smooth, and I love how you can forward or rewind by simply swiping across the screen.  And when you stop watching a movie and come back to it at a later time, MX Player as a very convenient resume function.

I am using the free version.  Try it out, downloadable from Google Play.
